There are so many videos on YouTube about “dreams and visions” that YouTube presents a variety of search options before you even finish typing.

Millions of Views

Though quickly dismissed by some as insignificant or even irrelevant, some dreams and visions have a way of making powerful and lasting impressions.

In fact, an increasing number of people are posting videos on social media channels like YouTube—videos in which some feel compelled to share their dreams and visions.

Whether you filter the results by view count or by upload date, there are over 141,000 related videos, and some of the videos have received over 100,000 or more views.

Taken collectively, the combined view count for videos on YouTube alone for the keywords “dreams and visions” and related searches is certainly in the multiple millions of views.

The Scriptural Basis

agaperadio-agapefm-637x534Is there a Scriptural basis for dreams and visions?

Yes, there is definitely an abundance of Scripture on the subject of dreams and visions.

We immediately think of people like Joseph, who interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams in the Book of Genesis.

Then there is Daniel, who interpreted the dreams of King Nebuchadnezzar in the Book of Daniel.

The wise men from the east who appeared in Jerusalem to see the Messiah were warned in a dream to return a different route after they saw Him.

“And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.” (Matthew 2:12)

These examples are just the tip of the iceberg.

In one example after another, there is no shortage in the list of Scriptural references concerning dreams and visions.

That was then. How about now?

The foregoing examples are from the past. But you may be wondering if God still speaks to people through dreams and visions today.  That was then, but how about now?

Good question.

It is worth noting that a keyword search of “dreams and visions” on YouTube returns many results—so many results that you have to be more specific to refine your search.

By clicking on the “Filter” button, you can filter the results by view count to see the ones which have received the most views.

You can also filter the results by the upload date to see the ones which have been uploaded most recently.

(Incidentally, this is by no means a recommendation to post dreams or visions on the Internet. It is merely an observation.  It is an observation that many people have obviously felt compelled to do so. Moreover, they are posting videos in which they describe their dreams with a sense of great urgency.)

Given the extensive Scriptural basis for dreams and visions, could this be evidence of the promised last days outpouring that was prophesied in the Bible?

Dreams, Visions and Prophecy in the Last Days

Among the Hebrew prophets, the book of Joel contains a prophecy which is especially relevant to an increase in dreams and visions during the last days:

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28 KJV).

i-met-messiah-dot-com-300x250So not only is it clear that there is a Scriptural basis for an increase in the amount of dreams and visions in the last days, but we also see the cause of this increase. The cause is none other than the LORD Himself.

Think about that for a moment.

The LORD Himself said that He would cause this to happen.

He said he would do something that would result in people dreaming dreams, seeing visions and prophesying.

He said that He would do this by pouring out His Spirit upon “all flesh.”  That basically means everyone—not just people who are “spiritual.”

Ordinary People

In fact, one of the most remarkable things about the people who are posting testimonials about their dreams and visions is that they are just normal, ordinary people.  They are not clergy.  They are just regular people.

It makes a lot of sense that the LORD would use normal, every day people to communicate His messages, because they are not as encumbered with the same political and religious concerns that sometimes hinder the clergy from saying what the LORD wants them to say in the manner in which He wants them to say it.

This observation is by no means intended to undermine the position or authority of the clergy.  If anything, this understanding merely demonstrates that the LORD is able to support the clergy by speaking through others—even when the clergy feels that it is not at liberty to speak.

It is interesting to note that this prophesy in Joel 2:28 comes just before Joel chapter 3, in which the topic changes to the judgment of the nations according to their treatment of Israel.

If that comes as a surprise, you can read the prophecy for yourself. According to the prophecy, the LORD said, “…I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land…” (Joel 3:2 KJV).

In Conclusion

In conclusion, there is an extensive Scriptural foundation for the belief that God has spoken to people through dreams and visions.  According to the Scriptures, people would dream dreams, have visions and even prophesy as a result of a great spiritual outpouring that would be initiated by the LORD in the last days.

God is speaking…
But are we listening?

Suddenly, it is not a question of whether God is speaking but rather… are we listening?

He is speaking to us through the Scriptures, and the Scriptures are being confirmed with many signs—signs that were foretold thousands of years ago. How can we not see what He is saying? Please share this information with someone. And thank you for visiting.

“Let them be for signs…”

The Bible clearly states that one of the purposes for the sun, moon and stars is to be for signs. “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs…‘” (Genesis 1:14a KJV).

The Recent Reappearance of “The Bethlehem Star”

One of the most dramatic and unexpected of recent events was the reappearance of the Bethlehem Star. On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, the conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Venus formed the brightest “star” in the night sky. In light of so many things that are happening in the world today—things which are clearly confirming the end times prophecies of the Bible—what else could the recent reappearance of the Bethlehem Star signify other than the fact that the Lord is coming soon?

The Gospel
The word Gospel means “Good News,” and the Good News is that you can be saved by grace through faith in Yeshua (Jesus). This is best summarized in John 3:16.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 HNV)

An Important Request From the Author of the Report...

"I am NOT predicting that this sign of September 23, 2017 is the beginning of the end times. But it means something significant. The meaning of all those “coincidences” surrounding it means it could mark the beginning of the end and most importantly it would be biblically consistent if it does mark the beginning of the end. ...
